The service
CineMasters is free. Nothing in it can be bought with real money.
The game is in its launch phase: it’s provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability or freedom from errors. Its rules, balance and features may change, and it may be interrupted for maintenance.
Your account
- You must be at least 15 to create an account: that’s the age from which French law lets you consent on your own to the processing of your personal data.
- One account per person. Your account is personal: it can’t be lent, shared or sold.
- You access CineMasters with your MastersMasters account, the shared account for the Masters games: signing up, logging in and your email address are managed there, under its own terms.
- Keep your MastersMasters login details secret. You’re responsible for what happens on your account; let us know right away if someone else uses it.
Tickets and posters
- Tickets, the in-game currency, and posters have no monetary value. They can’t be bought or exchanged for real money.
- Selling, buying or trading tickets, posters or accounts outside the game, for money or anything else, is forbidden.
- They don’t belong to you: you get a personal right to use them, in the game and for as long as your account exists. We may correct, remove or restore them in case of a bug, an error or abuse.
- A poster’s rarity (its tier) follows how well known the title is, measured from public Wikidata and Wikipedia data, and can change with it.
- Reel contents are drawn at random; the reel odds are published and open to everyone.
Market and trades
- The auction market and trades between friends unlock at level 5, with a verified email address.
- A won auction is final. No fees are taken: the seller gets the full final price, and tickets added to a trade are passed on in full.
- Payment for an abnormal sale (a price far from usual sales) may be held while it’s checked.
- It’s forbidden to manipulate prices, bid up your own auctions, move posters or tickets between accounts you control, or exploit a market bug. Possible sanctions: cancelled transactions, removal of items obtained, a market ban, suspension or deletion of the accounts involved.
Rules of conduct
The following are forbidden:
- cheating and deliberately exploiting a bug (report it instead);
- bots, scripts and any automation of the game, and any attempt to get around technical limits or disrupt the service;
- a username that’s offensive, hateful, misleading or impersonates someone else.
We may change a username, restrict some features, or suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, in proportion to how serious the breach is. You can challenge a decision by writing to the contact address.
Player contributions
You can suggest a poster, backdrop or trailer from a title’s page. This content is provided by you: CineMasters hosts it, doesn’t create or edit it, and only shows it after moderators decide.
- By sending a contribution, you warrant that you have the right to share it (you are the rights holder or act for them, they allowed you, it’s promotional material they published for distribution, or it’s in the public domain or under a free license) and that the information declared (rights holder, source, basis) is accurate.
- Forbidden: content you don’t have the rights to, an image of another title, shocking, hateful or sexual content or content that invades someone’s privacy, and any link to a misleading or malicious site.
- For each published contribution, you grant CineMasters a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to reproduce and display it in the game (cards, title pages, public pages) with its credit, while it is published, with no change other than display framing and size; technical metadata (EXIF) is removed from files on upload. You keep all your rights. The license ends when the contribution is removed.
- When you delete your account, your unpublished suggestions are erased; your published contributions stay on display, without your username. You can ask for their removal at the contact address, before or after.
- Moderators may decline or remove a contribution; the decision and its reason are shown to you in the game, and you can contest it. Each removal upheld for copyright, trademark or inappropriate content counts as a warning; at three in twelve months, your contributions are suspended for 90 days.
- Supporting a suggestion or reporting content doesn’t publish or remove anything on its own: moderators decide.
Any rights holder can request the removal of content through the takedown request; the procedure, timelines and appeals are described on the Community and takedowns page.
Film and TV content
Information about titles comes from Wikidata (CC0) and Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0), trailers from YouTube and, where applicable, posters from TMDB; each source is credited wherever its data appears. When no poster is available, CineMasters draws one. The works, their posters and their trailers remain the property of their rights holders (studios, producers, distributors, authors).
Posters and trailers are only shown within the game: trailers play in the embedded YouTube player and are never downloadable, and posters are shown unaltered. You may not extract, copy or reuse them elsewhere.
Trailers play in the embedded YouTube player, free for everyone, whether or not you own the poster.
CineMasters isn’t affiliated with, endorsed or certified by TMDB, YouTube or the Wikimedia Foundation. Titles, director and studio names and the trademarks mentioned belong to their owners.

Liability
Because the service is free and in its launch phase, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law, including for interruptions, lost progress or rule changes. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the game evolves. If there’s a significant change, you’ll be told in the game or by email before it takes effect. If you keep playing afterwards, you accept it; otherwise, you can have your account deleted.
Deleting your account
You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time by writing to contact@cine-masters.com. This erases your progress, tickets and posters, with no compensation; market and trade history is anonymized.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by French law. If there’s a dispute, write to us first so we can look for an amicable solution; failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the rules that protect consumers.
Contact: contact@cine-masters.com.
How we process your personal data is described in the privacy policy.
