Tiers

Every poster carries a tier, from Rush to Masterpiece. It isn’t an editorial pick: it reflects how well known the title really is, measured from Wikidata and Wikipedia, and it changes along with it.

How rarity follows fame

Every title gets a rarity score from 0 to 1,000,000, built from public data: views of its Wikipedia pages, how many languages document it, awards, box office and age. CineMasters splits that score into six bands: the better known a title is, the higher its tier.

Each pull first picks a tier using the published odds, then a random title among those that carry it. A famous classic is therefore rare to pull and a lesser-known title common: on average, a Masterpiece shows up in 1 reel out of 200.

Living rarity

Fame changes, and so does the tier. When a title is viewed, CineMasters reads its score again, and a daily check refreshes the most collected titles. A title on the rise moves up for every copy.

Early Screening

Pulled a title before it took off? If one of your posters climbs at least 2 tiers since you got it, reaching Box Office or higher, it earns Early Screening: a badge you keep even if the title drops back, plus 10 tickets per tier gained.

Exact odds are on the reel odds page.
