1. Open a reel
A free reel arrives every 10 minutes. They stack up to 5 in your stock; once it’s full, the timer stops, so come back before then. New players start with a full stock.
Each reel holds 5 different posters. Each one is pulled at random, independently of the others: no reel is guaranteed, and none can be bought.
The odds for every tier are published on the reel odds page.
2. Watch the trailer
Posters come with their trailer when one exists: it plays in the embedded YouTube player and is never downloaded. Watching earns you nothing: you can play just as well without trailers.
3. Build your film vault
The posters you pull go into your film vault. File them into folders (up to 50), find them by saga and put your favorites in your profile showcase.
Release box sets
Every saga or cycle fills up one title at a time. Once you own all of its titles, you can release its box set: it becomes a “Box set” trophy and earns XP and tickets, 20 T plus 1 T per title for a saga, 10 T plus 1 T per title for a cycle.
Watchlists
Import a watchlist exported as a CSV file from Letterboxd, IMDb or TMDB: it becomes the list of titles you’re hunting for (up to 20 watchlists). When you open a reel, a wanted title is flagged.
4. Sell to the video store
The video store buys back any copy, even your last one, for 1 T, whatever its tier: it’s how you get rid of it. A rare poster is worth far more at auction or in a trade with another player.
The auction market
From level 5, put your posters up for auction to other players. There’s no fixed price: you pick a starting price and a duration, from 30 minutes to 24 hours, and the highest bid wins the poster. A bid in the last 10 seconds resets the countdown to 1 minute. There are no fees: the seller gets the full final price, and everything is paid in tickets.
Trades between friends
From level 5, propose a trade to a friend: up to 10 posters on each side. It doesn’t have to be balanced, or even go both ways: you can simply give a poster away. Your friend accepts, declines or counters; without an answer, the offer expires after 72 hours.
Quests, streaks and levels
Every day, 3 daily quests, and every week 3 weekly quests, earn you XP: open reels, find new titles, release a box set. Play several days in a row and your streak grows, which earns XP too. XP raises your level: level 5 unlocks the market and trades, and pays out 50 T, once.
The golden rule: no real money
Tickets, the in-game currency, can never be converted into money. No reel, poster or ticket is ever sold for real money: you earn everything by playing.
